Sie stehen für melodischen Hardrock der Spitzenklasse und gehören 20 Jahre nach der Bandgründung zu den Institutionen der deutschen Rockszene. Jaded Heart, ansässig in Nordrhein-Westfalen, mit niedersächsischer Unterstützung in Form von Schlagzeuger und Gründungsmitglied Axel Kruse – der auch bei Mad Max die Felle verdrischt – haben sich seit 2005 zunächst mit Sänger Johan Fahlberg und seit 2006 mit Gitarrist Peter Oetros zu einer deutsch-schwedischen Formation gewandelt, was das internationale Standing der Gruppe noch zusätzlich unterstreicht.

Auf „Common Destiny“, ihrem bereits 11. Studioalbum, präsentieren sich Jaded Heart in gewohnter Bestform. Harte Riffs und metal-lastige Verse münden in große Refrains, deren eingängige Melodien sich sofort in den Gehörgängen festfressen. Eine Ballade sucht man indes vergebens auf dem neuen Silberling, was durchaus als Indiz dafür zu werten ist, dass Jaded Heart mit Volldampf in die dritte Dekade ihrer Bandgeschichte starten.
Produziert wurde „Common Destiny“ von der Band selbst, als Co-Produzenten fungierten Michael Voss und Chris Lausmann, die bereits bei den Vorgänger-Alben „Sinister Mind“ und „Perfect Insanity“; ihre Hände mit an den Reglern hatten.

Der Videoclip zum Song „With You“ befindet sich als Bonus auf dem Album „Common Destiny“.
