With their third album "Silverliner" the blues rock trio Soulmatic release a perfect analog album. The band again captured their groovy sound in a nutshell with the new tracks and re-recorded three songs from their debut album. None other than Ian Remmer who already worked with bands like Nazareth, Three or Jean Beauvoir, is responsible for the proper analog sound finalizing the album mix at the London Red Room Studios. Hence, the album sounds wonderfully easygoing and warm taking a trip down memory lane when music could still be enjoyed on vinyl and one took his / her time to listen to an album deliberately without any digital sensory overload. A cover version of Bob Marley's classic "No Woman No Cry" does fit into the concept just as well as the re-recorded tracks which flourish even better on "Silverliner". The album artwork also supports the musical as well
as visual time travel and represents the idea of "Silverliner" in form of a spaceship on the cover along with a short comic story in the booklet. With a classic and innovative sound and an eye for details Soulmatic enter their third round with their new album and their songs will certainly thrill the crowd.
